While Nakamura is obviously THE favourite to win the event, it is not unthinkable that Wesley So would win. He is a very solid player and a fine blitzer at that. He has already demonstrated serious blitzing skills for example by winning the Norway Blitz this year and beating the Chinese Wunderkind Wei Yi in the blitz match organized by the chess.com website. While Wesley’s chances are unlikely to be bigger than 10% or so, odds 13, which corresponds to the winning chance of 7.7%, appears to be a good bet in our opinion.
